Mark de Reus, Principal

Prior to establishing de Reus Architects in February 2005, Mark de Reus' most recent experience was with Hart Howerton as Managing Principal of their Hawai‘i office and lead design architect for the acclaimed private beach club at Kuki‘o on the North Kona Coast. During his five years with Hart Howerton, Mark designed a number of significant private residences in Hawai‘i and was design principal for the award-winning Samson Center at the Monterey Institute of International Studies.

Prior to his experience in Hawai‘i, Mark's varied career included Managing Director of an international design firm in Jakarta, Indonesia; Senior Vice President with the San Francisco firm of Backen, Arrigoni and Ross; Architect with HDR in San Francisco; and founder of an award-winning design firm in McCall, Idaho.

Mark's professional portfolio includes planning and design of resort, residential, spa, retail, offices and wineries. He has considerable experience masterplanning multi-faceted residential resort communities and has gained a significant reputation for the design of unique single family homes.
